i don't often post here, but i have been a member for a while - always the way.
i was thinking of a 3 door gti... with everything except a sunroof... but i am yet to put one head to head with a gt tdi (same option spec). i currently have a 2.0TDI that i love to bits, but it only gets driven on weekends - so the economy of a diesel is not a big issue. i am looking at fun factor.
...and as for the r32 3dr option, i have considered it, but i really am thinking it would be overkill for me.
both the gti and gt tdi come in quite close RE otr cost, and the difference in insurance is negligible.
my only concern is that i vaguely recall someone posting something about a significant upgrade in the future gti specs (from factory). 147kW is quite suitable, but to have something newer (and meaner) become available would upset me.
am i thinking of the gti 30th anniv. ed. or the pirelli ed? - and if so, will these models be available here??
also, while we are on it... my 2.0tdi (dsg, rflx silver) is two years old next month and has 25,000km on it - what sort of price should i expect? it has been serviced and well kept, always in a garage, and occasionally driven in a spirited manner., hahaha
