  • New wheels for my beast

    Just had fitted to my MKV GTI today. Details for those who want to know are;
    Black onyx RS4 Rep's, 19" x 8.8", ET +48, WT 8.5 kg Yokohama advan's 135/35's. Cost $1500 delivered from Velocity wheels CA. USA.

    They would be cheaper now as I bought at a 82 cent exchange rate. The only problem I had was that the center hole was a bit small due to paint covering so needed to have lathed out by a millimeter. They where 57.1 center hub size, which was probably before painting. I think I'm the only one with these, black onyx, on a MKV in Oz. They appear to have a much better finish than any RS4's I've seen here and are made in Taiwan. The rims balanced great before the tires were put on and seems to be no rubbing issues. It has taken me over a year to pick some wheels and am very happy with the result.

        Looks the goods homie.. Lovin it. Good choice too, rims are so hard to pick. We could ALL do with like 4 or 5 sets to change the flavour every now and again. Keep up the good work...

            No its standard. Think I would have a problem with the front as 8.5 rims. Cant go any bigger really. Once Velocity had received payment delivery took around one week.

                      Bing - tell me more about these guys. I'm in awe by the wheels they stock! How much was shipping? How much were your wheels in US$? I think they may get a sale out of me if they are as good as they sound...

                        They look sick! Though they would be even more perfect if they were sitting flush with the guard

                            The wheels cost US$899.00. cant remember the exact shipping cost however the cost close to AU$1500.00 delivered. No studs or centre caps. made in Taiwan. The only problem I had was they needed to have the paint on the center hole lathed even though the were stated as 57.1mm center bore. The guy I dealt withs name is John Howard (no Joke) I would suggest you use him as he knows whats going on and has already arranged my shipment to OZ.
