My son had is Polo in for the coil pack replacment, and the helpful VW people said it was for ALL Polo and Golf too. Looks like I have a trip to the dealer for some information Monday.

Got mine done the other day on my 07 R32. I believe it is a certain batch of cars between models....they will let you know once you give them the chasis number.
If your the original owner you should have receive a letter but if its 2nd hand or your address has changed you will need to go in to a dealer or call them... Like ckouso said only certain vehicles.
I expected that they would send a letter out - I've had them for other vehicles over time. Car is only 9 months old so should have had an update on them. His polo is a 2007 model.

So does anyone know if this affects any MK6 Golf? Based on the info above, it sounds more like a certain batch of 2007 9N3 Polo's and MKV Golf's were affected.
