    Hi Guys,

Just wandering how many Km's did your front GTI tyres last you??
My car is reaching 9,000Km's and already the fronts are looking battered - i think will need to be changed.

By the way i go the Dunlpo SP Sport 01A's.

Running @ Recommended tyre pressur on fuel cap.
No not just outta edges - it's the whole tyre tread.... dunno if it's coz sports tyres are soft compound.

By the way, this is my first car with sports tyres - usually my tyres last me anywhere b/w 3 to 4 years!!!

I've got the same tyres on mine. Almost 8000kms and mine's still really good, easily have 75-80% left. I did rotate mine at 6500kms.

I run mine at 38psi all round though I'm thinking of reducing the rears to 36psi.

Damn! My wife's cars just ticked over 25000, just been serviced and the guy reckons they're fine. She's mostly highway (2hrs a day on the f3) driving though.

I'm up to about 5000, the 050 's are still looking fine and I have given em a fair bit of stick (great ocean road 3 times, Mt Buller once, Black spur 4 times) and done a defensive driving course.

I'd love to go for a drive to see how you launch if your tyres are only lasting 10-15000 odd K's.
I have my RED , 3DR MKV GTI with leather in manual and I love it!

i have the tdi dsg ie: no launch possible

tbh i cant be bothered to rotate the tyres, id rather buy two at a time instead of 4 at a time, easier on the wallet

i dont drive like a COMPLETE maniac... but i'm fairly aggressive... just so much weight up front i guess. the back tyres are still around 90%, they just kinda trundle along, if i rotated them i guess id get around 30000kms which isnt too bad anyway
