  • Blown xenon globe

Hey guys, has anyone else had a blown globe on their bi-xenon gtis? My drivers side globe decided to die yesterday and I just got a quote from the parts department for $252 for one globe. I plan on replacing both of them so I wanted to ask if anyone has found a cheaper price?

    Cheers

If time is on your side (i.e. you're not driving much at night, or have another car you can use if doing so), then you can order Xenon globes from the USA or the UK or even Europe.

The UK would be a good option because the prices are still much cheaper, but fast mailing options won't blow the budget either.
Keep in mind that you don't need to go to a VW parts store in these countries, you can get the globes from the manufacturers distribution networks too.
I'm sure there are already threads on this topic here, I remember Maverick writing several posts with places to get Xenon globes internally for much better value than locally.

      Go to PowerBulbs.com

You can get x2 Philips D2S bulbs for GBP 90 or about AUD 150 - and shipping is free as well.

They are about $110 AUD on the powerbulbs.co.uk website.
