Key battery replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the battery in the flip key? One of ours has died, and it's a pain having to go back to unlocking and locking the manual way.

I think from memory, if you look at your key with the little vw logo towards the left, the little cover on the right hand side should come off if you stick something small and flat into the side of the key, then the cover should come off the reveal the battery, Im not 100% sure that it works though
