hey guys just posting this to see if anyone may have exp this or can help, have had my 2007 jetta for 3 weeks & last week after driving it for 15 mins noticed a heavy knocking noise from engine- lifted bonnet & it sounded like a heavy tappet type noise- i turned the engine off- restarted it & it went away- no waring lights came on- i took it to a VW dealer & of course it wasnt going to make the noise there was it, but they hooked it up to the engine diagnostics & it showed no faults, which they couldnt give me an answer, im thinking it may have been a hydraulic lifter, but not really sure, have changed the engine oil, as it was brought from a mitsubishi dealer & they did the oil change beefore they sold it to me, & im assuming they put the wrong oil in it, so far i have noticed it since oil change, but prior to this it had done this noise on 3 occassions, any help here guys would be appreciated
