can i suggest H&R coilovers, they are a great price and the handling is awesome (went for a ride in Mischa's).

Also KW and Weitec coilovers cant be looked past

Would also be nice if a Moderator had his car listed too

Not all MkV are the same.. R32 doesnt really need anything to improve it.

Well considering the original post is from back in 2007 and the new poster who has dug this up is talking about his GTI now the OP doesn't really matter anymore.
Also you need to get out and about on the forum Bazzle. Josh has a nice build up thread with his little MkI Golf. As a pretty well established member it's probably not too necessary for him to advertise.

      Cheers,
      Trent

My stock GT TDI rear swaybar hanging up downstairs is 21mm hollow. I put a 22mm solid onto the car, and at the time spent a lot of time reading the MKV forums to pick that size to compliment the stock front. White James is the guy I read a lot of from memory. Going solid is worth one or 2 mm straight away over hollow, something like that.

Sorry mate, spend too much time here already, fraid I don't read every thread!

VERY happy with it, well worth the money, made the car a LOT flatter through the corners without messing up the supple ride the GT has over the go-cart GTI. I wouldn't want a much flatter car to be honest, but then I am 39 compared to some of you wippersnappers. I've had my share of go-carts as all youngin's invariably desire, and this is a nice mix for me personally. Not stock GTI level, but a lot closer than stock GT level.

From here a bigger front sway and shocks / springs etc would be better, but I doubt the bang for buck would be anywhere as big. All theory there though...

I just bought the WHITELINE ANTI LIFT KIT from GC Corp

Got them at the super cheap price of $220 off their website, cheaper than whiteline's website at 260 odd.

Gonna have a crack at fitting them sometime on the weekend maybe.

Should give the steering a shot in the arm.

The TSI already has 40kg less weight over the front end compared to a GTI so the turn in should be awesome (Ps the 40kg figure is direct quote from the TSI 1.4 race car's PDF from VW Racing website).

sorry to hijack, but are the front shocks of a mk5 shared with any other car? ie audi a3? I'm in desperate need of front shocks off a petrol mk5!

You might find the dimensions are the same but there is likely to be some differences in the damping characteristics.
