MK5 strut mount/diameter sizes?

Hey guys im just about to order my FK coilovers and the place has asked me to measure my strut diameter. Apparently there are two sizes i.e. 49.8mm or 54.8mm.

Obviously i should be capable of doing this, but i wanted to see if anyone knows which models would have the different thicknesses?

Is it a diesel vs petrol? a fsi vs tfsi?

Looking at getting the street-lines from a uk seller on ebay (perfomance3000 is his seller id). Can get them landed for $410AU.

Thanks for the info mate. I'll still verify mine this weekend but i am still curious to know which models had which struts. Just for knowledge sake. (PS. nice jetta by your signature, you got any pics up?)

Ordered my coilovers last night. For the record my struts were 55mm.

Exchange rate differed and ended up costing $465 delivered but that's ok.

Can't wait!
