  • Golf 5 2.0 tdi performace upgrades

    Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and my father and I have a 2006 golf 5 2.0 tdi and were wondering what kind of upgrades or modifications could be done to get the best performance out of it. What would be the best ecu or best tune?
I went on the APR site and only saw that there was an ecu upgrade for petrol cars and not for diesel.

thanks, and i appreciate all the help

there have been plenty of threads on this topic mate, please use the search function.

however, Custom Code does excellent diesel tunes, Vieuzu also do diesel tuning as does Oettinger.

Jeez thats nothing for a car that age. I can recommend a Bluefin tune, you could pick up a unit cheap in the for sale section on vwgolf.net.au at the moment.

I would agree with Josh, and in that order. All the companies are pretty close for the 103kw, comes down to your exact location, access to a nearby dealer if anything goes wrong ( which can and does happen with Handheld tuning units albeit rarely ) and what you want as far as warranty / insurance goes.

exactly what Greg said. Most tunes are very similar, I just like Custom Code as its a great tune and great customer service!

Yeah I'd have to rate Parso as a top tuner....if you are local to him it would be a no brainer!
