Whistling noise from external mirrors??

Hi all,
Have had this problem since I picked up the car, but only just got around to posting it here.
When I have my drivers side window down I get a really annoying wind whistle noise. Starts at about 20 to 30kph and cuts out at about 60 to 70kph.
I think it is the wind bleeding off the external mirrors.
Just wondering if any other MKV owner has this issue, and if so did they resolve it.

I thought it was just me...or the replacement smoked lenses that were the problem. Thought I was hearing things......

Anyone know of a fix???? Gotta drive with the windows down, all the better to hear that exhaust!
