Hi,
I have a small problem and I was hoping some of you here might be able to point me in the right direction.
Tonight I was about to leave my Girlfriends house, so I started the car as normal and put my foot on the brake pedal to put the DSG into D. As I did this once the brake pedal reached it's normal stopping point there was a loud metallic clunk from under the front of the car, then the pedal seemed to drop further than normal.
The brakes are still there when I drive the car, it just feels as though there is suddenly more pedal travel available and required than there has always been before.
I had the 60k service done in may and they replaced the front pads and rotors, so if all else fails I will be returning to the dealer to have them check things out. I had been driving the car all night start and stop and had no issues until this one time. I haven't tried to start the car and put my foot on the brakes again to see if it repeats.
If anyone has any suggestions as to the cause or solution it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
