  • Mk5 Jetta Sunroof question... does it reduce headroom???

Im a tall so I need my headroom.

I have sat in Jetta's without sunroof and have good headroom.
Does the Sunroof take away vital headroom in the Mk5 Jetta like in other cars?

I have looked at pics of Jetta's with and without sunroof and there does not seem to be that indentation in the roof to accomodate the sunroof that reduces head room... ie the stock headliner is already spaced to accomodate a sunroom.

Jetta sunroof even looks like they have soft edges rather than a hard plastic beading that us tall folk keep slamming our heads on over rough roads.

    Cheers.

I would assume that a Jetta and Golf would be the same difference as far as a sunroof goes. Pretty much no difference in head clearance at all with the sun roof. I'm 183cm tall and have a lot of head room. My previous cars, WRX and Liberty, both had sunroofs and there was not much room at all. With the WRX I couldn't even leave my sunnies on my head. With the Golf I can wear whatever I want on my head : )
