Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I plan on getting them for our Golf V & Polo.

The Golf V has the 4 pieces.

          Hi bazzle

When you received this part, did it come with a primer?

I just picked mine up from the dealer and step 3 in the instructions refers to primer... however, there is no primer in the kit. How about you, did you get primer?

If not, did you just install the weathershield without primer and just by peeling the sticker off?

          Thanks in advance.

.:R32 - because it's all about cubic inches.

IIRC the primer is this tiny plastic cylinder that needs to be snapped in order to activate. Kind of like a mini glow stick. Probably 5cm long by 6mm diam. Easily thrown out, easily mistaken and overlooked. At least this was the case with the 5dr mk6
