  • Whats my Pirelli worth?

    Hi all

Been carefully considering my next car (GTi vs 35 Ed vs Golf R) as my salary sacrifice lease on my Pirelli runs out in Oct/Nov.

Anyway I have a black 5 door Pirelli at the moment. It is in great condition, easy kilometres (100km a day 5 days a week on mainly freeway), standard Pirelli features. Tyres have done less than 5,000 kms and has almost 90,000kms on the clock. What do you guys think it would be a fair price to sell it at?

all depends... i have 60k on mine and the dealer offered 28K trade although i'm pretty sure i could get between 33K and 37.5K...

90K is a fair bit for an 09... any mods, extras?

completely stock you'd be looking for 30K ish imo...

So you would say a 2008 MY09 Pirelli is not worth $37k? There's one on carpoint that I was interested in. By the way how does a 2008 model have an original warranty that commences in 2009?

Thanks guys. That is starting to give a bit of an idea.

Carsales has them for around $37k which seems on the high side for mine. Sounds like around $33k would be a fair price if i can get it.

Don Juan, i bought the Pirelli Nov 08, so its coming up on 3 years. With 25,000 kms a year just from home to work and back I end up doing about 30,000 a year. No mods at all.

MovieDude - my warranty started Nov 08, so would end this November. My dealer in Maitland covers another 3 years whilst i continue to get it serviced there anyway.

It is all dependant on the no. of kms done and condition of the car. To a lesser degree, the options and colour.
What is the amt of kms has the one you are looking at done?

Most Pirelli's are late 08 and early 09 manufacture but MY09 complianced. So their warranties end late 2011 to mid 2012 depending on when they were sold to customers.

yep, i think i would have a slim possibility of getting $37k for mine but even mine has more km's on it than the price would reflect. All depends on individual car, how it has been looked after, modifications, odometer, etc.

my warranty started when i got mine as an executive demo driven by the head of the motor company. i got mine in nov 09 with 1000kms on the clock.

I have a 2008 Pirellie coming up for sale (pretty much ready for sale now)

Car is pretty much standard, I did get bluetooth added by the dealer when I purchased the car.

Looking for offers in the low 30's. Will post additional details if anybody is interested.

Thanks mate, I think you need 10 posts to go in the for sale section. I have been a member for a while, but I am not usually one to post much, usually just alot of reading.

This is the only VW forum I usually keep an eye on, are there any other Aussie ones you would recommend?

I've got a severely worked Pirelli and it's one of the best cars I've ever owned. Getting some Recaros for it this week!

Nice mate!! Which ones are you going for? Were they purchased locally or overseas? Do they have the seat warming function? As far as I knew only the Golf R/R32 OEM ones support that feature.

Recaro Sportster CS. No seat heating no airbags. Those things are for girls.

                              Sorry for the threadjacking.

Buy the car off the leasing company, put in a stage 3 and be forever happy.
