  • Caliper Carrier Bolts, how do you remove your calipers?

    Hey all,

Last night me and a mate spent hours on trying to remove front caliper carrier bolts to no avail

Even used an air gun/compressor in attempt to remove them and still no dice.

Ive read that a large breaker bar should do the trick and will try this on monday, so my question is.. how do you guys remove brake calipers when replacing your rotors and such? These things seem like their welded on.

So angry i wasted a friday night

edit: check here for step 6, this is what im talking about - http://www.golfmkv.net/blog/archives/5#

2 foot bar is the way to go. Impact guns aren't always what they are cracked up to be.
