  • rear door moving?

the rear passenger side door on our 2.0fsi has suddenly become quite difficult to close. It seems that the door has moved slightly out of alignment so that the back edge of the door is mighty close to the rear panel of the car.

Now the car recently had its door repainted and i assume that the panel shop didnt tighten the bolts properly and therefore allowed it to slowly move out of alignment. I could go back to them, but long story short i really dont want to deal with them.

So does anyone know which bolts i should be fiddling with to readjust the door?

the front hinges are on an eccentric. Pretty sure its a 15mm and an M8 spline drive socket. Can be tight fit getting tools in there.

Loosen it off then turn and you'll see the door lift/fall.

Is the door hitting the striker before closing?

      Thanks for the reply.
its not hitting the striker, but the gap between the door and back edge is incredibly tight and the rubber lining gets caught.
