Well, I haven't driven Lakeside Raceway before, but a friend from the WRX club said there were some extra spots so I jumped in and said why not. It was organised through timeattack, and I thought it would be good to compare the GTI against other STI's etc.
There were about 50 cars, the Ferrari club as well. 5 Groups each getting about 6-7 laps out on the track before returning to the pits. All up we got 7 sessions in.
Yesterday (saturday) was raining, and I had just fitted up Kuhmo 36's (which aren't supposed to be too good in the wet). So I wasn't expecting much.
But I managed to go quite a bit better, with my best wet lap time of 1min 11.4sec. The quicker cars were only running about a second or two quicker.
All in all, very enjoyable day considering the weather, and can't wait to do it again on a dry track.
