Protection?

As I understand it I am unable to put seat covers on my comfort line due to the air bags coming from the sides of the seats… (??) this brings me to the question of material protection.. Some European cars seam to have excellent interior protection as standard is this true of my ‘yet to be delivered’ 2LT Tdi or should I pay the extra offered by the dealer???

Wouldn't want you to waste your money unnecessarily mate! You can get products to do yourself for a fraction of what the dealers are charging!

I got airbag seat covers from supercheap - the picture on the cover shows a balloony type shape along the seat back.

Dealer pricing is at least twice what the service is worth.
if you don't want to DIY then get a professional in. Full interior should not cost more than about $100, for carpet and seats.
Be warned though, that you need to leave the car open for the protectant to dry, so get it done on the weekend, unless you have secure parking at work.
