Can anyone tell me the difference between a VW jetta engine (prefix BWA) and a BPY engine. I wanted to order a timeing belt kit from ECS tunning for the Jetta but they only had kits suitable for a BPY engine. When I emailed them with this question, I was told that they are different motors and the parts will not fit. I thought the two motors were the same, BPY is a North American designation and BWA is a European designation? Both the same 2.0 litre turbo? Anyone who knows for sure if parts are interchangeable?
