Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Engine Bay

    Evening all,

Bought a 2007 MK5 Comfortline recently and upon closer inspection of the engine bay it appears something is missing. I can see a couple of screws are missing on the bracket that holds the coil pack wires in place and some of the fuel line hoses appear to be just hanging in mid air in the engine bay???

Does anyone have a close up picture of their engine bay for a 2.0L FSI that a can see if anything else is missing???

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum! It would be easier, if you post the picture of your engine bay.

Most wiring harnesses and hoses are designed in such a way that they'll remain in situ with the need for clamps and fastners.

There is no screws which hold the coil wiring harness down if that helps.

Not sure bout your fuel lines. Photos would help
