Appreciate that, would prefer a local purchase though. Only one here and it's a three door.

Who was that?Originally posted by triode12 View PostSomeone on another forum who has done a K04 upgrade has hinted that they have had issues - so it isn't as easy as it seems.
As mentioned, it would be easier to go find a Pirelli if you want VW to cover it all. I've not had an issues unless I ventured outside of what was recommended for the kit. I did need to replace my coil packs, but that ended up being a VW recall item. Using the right intake for whatever tune you go with is essential.
If you're thinking of going with AWE, call Lucas in Melbourne and have a chat.Last edited by johnc; 18-07-2011, 09:21 AM.

I went with the APR Edition 30 kit. Been running it for a few years now. No flaws other than the coil packs I mentioned. I've had a few errors occur due to some experimentation with aftermarket intakes, but if you stick with the stock one (as directed by APR), it works flawlessly.Originally posted by gh172 View PostThanks for that. I have actually spoken to Lucas and emailed him for a quote. Did you get the Awe kit yourself ?
At the end of the day, you should go with the people that will offer you the best support. Local support would be best, but I don't know what your options are over there. I'm sure there are a good number of locals who would know the score out your way though.
