Just had our first significant fault, and its the left rear door lock, also within the last two months of warranty.
Tried the fixes above, no luck, off to dealer.
i assume the warranty will cover it.MY09 Golf Candy White 2.0 TDI Pacific

So, we rang Monday and got in on Thursday to be told there was a part needed and we will be called when it arrives.
Meanwhile we were told the doors had been temporarily fixed.
walked to the car, tried teh doors, no change.
Back at the counter left standing for ten minutes. Do you think they knew something?MY09 Golf Candy White 2.0 TDI Pacific

Yep mine is busted as well so a cheap source would be nice. It would only open from the inside at first, then I took the door skin off and played around with it and then it wouldn't open at all.
I managed to get the front door open by taking the trim cover off the rear door. This trim is the trim closest to the B pillar. Once that trim is off with the rear door open you can use an extension to undo the bolt that holds the front door handle on (might have to Farrah the front door trim off) and then reach in the hole and open the door. Now my front passenger door doesn't lock at all
