They're off the Sciorroco but as noted in the ad not included in the price. Would be worth asking how much extra he wants to include the wheels as they look very nice. Not sure what the ride would be like though. Seems to be a very good price for a 09 with all those extras but a modified one like that usually means its been driven quite hard - not that this is a clear sign of a problem but I'd approach it with extra caution and inspection. Not leather, says cloth but you're right I can't see the Tartan trim. Simple..ring and ask.Originally posted by jazd View PostLove those wheels! Don't think it could be leather (from the factory) because if you look closely at the interior shot there are no dials for seat heaters on the climate control panel. I'm pretty sure that if you ordered leather in the mk5 the seat heaters came with it. Well that was the case with mine anywayOriginally posted by poyta View PostNot leather, says cloth but you're right I can't see the Tartan trim. Simple..ring and ask.

for your sake hey Jazd.
Saw that one a few weeks back and thought it was too good to be true, and wasn't sure whether it had the factory leather either. I know two cars I looked at with the tartan at yards, and walked away from as that was on my must have list (or, more to the point - the tartan was on SWMBO's must-not-have list) - both rang me back within hours offering to fit leather if I bought the car now. Wouldn't have been heated, and would not have had electric lumbar support.
Under warranty is good - someone mentioned the lumbar support for the leather seats (think it was in another thread) costing $1500 to fix. That is what I have been quoted anyway...

Stuff that! I'd just manually put them in the position I like and leave them broken - defiantly not worth $1500...but I would miss the heated seats on the leather. The cold weather we've had lately has reminded me of their importance.Originally posted by 99_FGT View Postsomeone mentioned the lumbar support for the leather seats (think it was in another thread) costing $1500 to fix.2007 Black Magic VW Golf GT TDi, Latte Leather, Sunroof, Bluefin Superchip, 18" Detroits, APR lower torque arm insert, APR Carbon Fibre Cold Air Intake system, GTi sideskirts & front lip, R32 Rear Bar, GTi Steering wheel, RNS-510,Infinity BassLink Subwoofer, stubby antenna, R8 Oil Cap, Golf R front calipers, slotted front rotors, ceramic brake pads, LITEC LED tail-lights, Dension Gateway Five, Rear Emblem Reverse Camera, H&R Ultralow coil-overs, Badge-less front grille

OT - but it will be getting fixed when I get back. Parts from OS is $550, labour $200. Hadn't thought about trying to get it put in the right position (had thought about stealing the parts out of the passenger seat though - possibly to fix it then find the exact parts I need to replace the broken ones)

Interesting that people are so partial to leather. It was pretty much the only option that I wouldn't have - all of the Golf's I looked at had tatty, worn leather, especially on the bolsters. Plus its so impractical, especially on a hot summers day!

I think you're getting confused with vinyl - my leather seats don't really get that hot in the summer. I moisture mine regularly so they still look as good today as they did when I bought them new. Shame that the leather smell is now gone, I miss that.Originally posted by Bakks View PostInteresting that people are so partial to leather.
