ATP GT28RS Turbo Kit for GTI / Jetta / A3 2.0T, Turbo Kits, Forced Induction, ATP Products & Other Performance Aftermarket Auto Parts - North American Motorsports
wondering if anyone has had any luck with this kit or something very similar?? i was thinkin k04 but this seems like a far more attractive kit

    Does it fit RHD cars?

I assume you would need a custom tune to suit.

With that power, you will need to think about how the other components will go (rods, intercooler, etc)

yea i will get a front mount kit and probably look at a giac custom tune. im pretty sure the internals are able to cope with that power.

Unless youre willing to do internals then id stick to the K04. Its a tried and tested setup and performs very well without running the risk of damaging the engine.

Are you for real? If no-one has experience with the kit that you listed do you expect them to post like they would if you had mentioned a product that people have experience with? Sheesh. Consider for a second that people may use well known and tested products for a reason.

Not to mention your pointless thread title, why not make it more descriptive like "ATP GT28RS Turbo Kit for Mark V - anyone with experience" so that people will open to take a look. Maybe even post some more information into your post so people don't have to click on the link.

The 1.8T's are capable of handling up to 400hp on stock internals (at least the MK4 GTI internals were) so long as you've got cooling and fueling up to scratch.

Not to mention K04 upgrades on the 1.8T are pointless... most people barely get into the 140-150wkw range which is pathetic (that would barely scrape 13's down the 1/4 if you managed to stick the launch).

As for the kit, don't know anyone who has used it... but beware ebay kits. Most of the turbo's are fakes... some last a while, some don't.

That said, the 2871 is a very nice size for the Polo... and done properly it should be pushing some decent numbers (220-230fwkw should be childs play)

I'm glad that you got everything under control now and I can close this thread, which is in the wrong section anyway.
