  • Adjusting the headlights

Ive had my car back from the repairer for over 4 weeks, but it was the first time ive driven on a dark road , I found the headlights were set too low and at 80kph could only see 10 metres in front of me,
So i took the car back Again to Kingswood smash and they tried to tell me that the lights were self leveling and i should use the adjustment wheel on the dash ,which i had already tried as it only lifted the lights an extra few metres.
Any way they decided to adjust them manually and it only took a few minutes as there is only one screw in the top of each light,
And the way it was adjusted was by standing in front of the car about 5 metres away and lifting the bean to just above the knee , very scientific ??

Geez thats shocking, beam setting should be done on a beam setter mate, we used these on every MOT test in the Uk and if it was out your car fails. The setting on the knee isnt cool. The setting isnt just height but the beam gets set left to right too, so did he set that to the centre point of his kneecap??? LOL sorry .
