2006 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TURBO DSG 1KM Cars For Sale in NSW - CarPoint Australia
what would you say the main differences are between this and the original black jetta i was looking at, apart from the fact this one has 10k les km, no sat nav, no bixenons, and no 18's.
the satnav is a pretty easy fix, can get one of ebay for around the 900 mark, the main thing i really like is the xenons, changes the entire look of the car.
im only planning on haveing the the car for one maybe 2 years, and in that time will probably do between 40 to 50k worth of driving.
generally these cars are built to do upwards of 250k on a single engine and tranny before you start having major problems yea??

How about $5000? I like the black/cream colour scheme a lot more but not for an extra $5000. The SatNav in the first one isn't an RNS510 so its not that special - like you said you can pick up an RNS510 Sat Nav for anywhere between $700 - $900 from ebay. The Xenon's are nice but if you're only after the look you can buy the lights from Hella for about $600, they're not actually Xenon as they use your factory globes but they look exactly the same. The 18's are also not the nicest I've seen - no shortage of wheels out there really do why not get some you actually like. The 06 model also has heaps less mileage ( 35,500kms! ) and its got reverse sensors. If It were me I'd get the cheaper one, add an RNS510, some of those Xenon look lights ( if you really think it changes the whole look of the car...? , add a really nice set of wheels and it will still be cheaper than the first one.

It is not the best colour combo, it has no sat nav, no xenons, a year ealier, no 18s, but hey its got reverse sensors!

I believe blue graphite only looks good on the jetta. Have you seen member Bizi Jetta very nice. Who cares that it has no xenons just like poyta wrote can always buy and fit one including the satnav who cares if it is 06 it might be the best 06 around in terms on condition and mechanicals it might not be a daily driver which is good so it would be immaculate. You can always buy 18's from ECS Tuning and from Authorised VW Dealers .

yea, i talked to the seller about it and he put me through to NRMA,.
i also got more pictures of the car, from the pictures and from what i gather NRMA is really fussy, the scratches apart from the one on the trunk lid seem to be hairline scratches, probably courtesy of the dealer washing the car. the one on the trunk lid is the only really bad one.
ive got the guy willing to 25000, plus i get a refund on rego, and he will also pay for postage of the car, and service it before i get the car at volkswagen.

the wheel alignment is of due to the heavy rains, and will be fixed at next service, as will the minor leak,(supposedly a washer)
im gonna have a look at a few other cars in victoria as well, but the bixenons are crutial for me as i do a lot of night driving because of work and long distances as well.
god i wish finding a nice car with everything i want was easier

If BiXenons are that critical because you actually want to use them then you may need to get the black one because fitting them to a car aftermarket is about $2500. I'd seriously evaluate how fantastic these lights are because essentially you're paying a $5000 premium for this car over the blue one for slightly brighter lights and in my opinion getting a worse car. I've never driven a Golf with xenons but I've driven a few BMWs and Audis with them and sure they're nice and probably a little better than my standard Golf lights but not $5000 better. If its that critical get some large spotlights on it.
