Cheers boys, and yes I did weigh them and they came up as advertised at 6.9 kg! I weighed the stockies at 12kg and the difference in driving response is fantastic. Feels like a different car

Center caps look wrong on RPF1's for some reason, 17" so profile is standard as I bought these for track days etc.. not for show

Cost $365 bro and the shipping was the only charge other than the wheels as they were $932. TireRack were great to, I might go as far as saying even they were Rad? Lol Anyway.... when ever a depo or customs or whatever took too long they were all over it enquiring before I had a chance to, top stuff.

hey mate, howd you go with import duties and what did you end up paying extra on top of the price+shipping?

Im in the same boat about buying from the states - im just worried about the way customs will calculate duties.

As I said 3 posts up, shipping and wheels were the only charges. My wheels came in at a price less than $1000 without shipping, think thats why I didnt have to pay any other BS

                          hey mate,

so the wheels were under a grand, and the shipping was extra 350.. total roughly $1350

im surprised that you didnt pay any duties as my understanding was that shipping was included in the $1,000 threshold prior to customs tax.
so seems customs ignored the shipping charges.. learned something new today.

ps im an idiot, new to importing from overseas rules! sorry haha

Nah bro if your an idiot so am I lol, was the first time I ordered something so expensive from US as well but I thiiiiiiink thats why I didnt pay the tax due to the price before shipping.
Either way, you will still save rather than buying in AUS. Avoid being raped... buy from the US

yeah i quickly confirmed with someone else its tax payed on the goods not the services.. so the shipping is not included in the total, hence u getting away without having to pay tax because your rims were valued under 1,000.

now i feel like ive made a saving on something! haha awesome.
