I'm still the only 77TDI on the Jetta Registry and am starting to feel like I'm the "ugly duckling"
Anyhow, for what its worth, my Jetta is about to have its 60,000 ks service. Still has the creak in the front left suspension, as delivered, and has dropped a bolt on the turbo assembly for which I'm waiting a replacement from Germany. If I don't see oil on my garage floor its not a worry, I'm told.
Still have the original tyres; Sportcontact 2 s which look like they'll stay legal for the next 5 to 10 000 ks. I'm in the country and drive at 100ks almost exclusively and during the floods , bounced out of water concealed potholes like you wouldn't believe tyres could escape unscathed out of. Surprising also was that no wheel alignments were required.
Maybe my economy model Jetta was overtyred? If that is possible. Kumho Ecsta KU31 s seemed to be well received by others on this site (all with gruntier versions than mine) and at $155 a corner where I am, compared to about $240 for the Sportscontact 2 or its replacement; its tempting me.
I have averaged 5 litres/100 ks almost invariably except when towing a small dog trailer for 2800 ks on an inerstate run, when I got a steady 7 litres/100 ks. Interesting stuff ?????

Add me to the list - I took delivery of my new 103TDI Jetta in December 07. It has now clocked up nearly 70,000 k and just seems to get better and better.

Graphite Blue with Ipod and, most importantly, NO DSG and NO DPF.

maca, can you tell me where I can get Halogen Black Reflector Headlights from? I was an idiot and didn't get the Bi Xenons when I ordered it, so looking at the next best available option. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
