        I would say errrr no.
Buying off ebay is great for saving money bro but just make sure you are buying brands with a reputation for quality like APR, Milltek etc.... which may be hard to find on ebay I might add.
You do find intakes, suspension etc on ebay from the big brands though.

Ah bull**** - nothing wrong with some of these no name brand exhausts - I bought one for my motorcycle off ebay - its perfectly fine. We're talking about a steel tube here guys - why would you want to pay +4 times the price for an APR unit? Fit and finish may be better and you may get an extra 1kw over these chinese units but in the end is it really worth it?

haha your kidding right?????? the reason we pay for quality units lke APR and Milltek is they are worth every single cent they do not and i repeat do not drone!!!!! i have a full turbo back non resonated system and it sounds sensational and there is not one bit of drone. I cant comment on APR but my Milltek comes with a one million mile warranty and both apr and milltek have proper stainless cats so no replacing every 40000kms. maybe u should try joes backyard exhaust i hear they use some of that steel pipe u are talkin about
Good bye GTI Hello Golf R

Totally dissagree champ! Have seen a couple that friends bought which had press bent "madrel bends" and very inconsistent welds, not to mention ZERO R & D pu into these systems. Do u have any clue how much research and developmet and testing that the big companies put into a system before it even goes to production? Not to mention, as golf2nv mentioned, the ongoing support u get throughout the ownership of your quality exhaust system.
You gotta be trolling on this one or a little in experienced with aftermarket parts.

It may be good, it may sound horrible, it may corrode, it may crack at welds, it may add no power...

If you want to save, go to a good exhaust shop, they can do some good work but it will be based on experience, not R&D...

This is perhaps an opportune time to mention that although the 42DD pipes I now represent are indeed aluminized steel pipes, the cats and mufflers are stainless Magnaflow units with unlimited perforation warranty from Magnaflow.

Rather than buy one on eBay go to a reptuable exhaust shop and get them to custom fit/make you one, it will be just as good if not better than off the shelf ones.

I have had a quote from a reputable custom exhaust shop in Adelaide of $1,500 just for replacement muffler and pipes. Not even touching the resonator, he wants to use Junbl and leave oem resonator. Cheaper for me to get Milltek resonated cat back direct from Rennenhaus. But which way is better? At least with the local one they can tailor it to your needs. If I dont like the milltek or whatever brand that I buy direct I'm stuck with it.

Deeper tone, no drone and no loss of low down torque.
