  • Too good to be true??

Saw this ad for a 2005 mkV GTI

Black, manual, sunroof, cloth interior, only 27000kms

    and from a dealer

They are only asking $24k for it.....too good to be true?

if i inspect, i'd be looking for a full service history......

edit 1- enquired about it and its through a broker...

    Check it out

A 6 year old car still at 60% of its brand new price where the warranty has run out - definitely not too good to be true I think its a fair price. Too good to be true would be less than 20K.

I had a look on Car sales and saw it, there are ones similarly priced which have done 55,000 or slightly more which is still very young.

Its also a manual which is cheaper than the DSG. Given you are out of warranty, a manual gearbox could be a better option should anything need repairing, not that DSG failure is common.

I'd have a look and test drive very soon if you are ready to buy.

even if it were 27,000 kms it still needs to be serviced.
id offer 22k cash and walk away, see if they bite after a weeks time.
you can always negotiate a used car price.
