  • Intakes and engine covers

Need to get my intake and engine cover changed as it is loose so jmac recommended a new intake system for me. Now wondering if there are aftermarket engine covers that'll fit with aftermarket intakes? Or would you guys just leave the engine uncovered? I guess it's mainly cosmetic anyways and is hidden 99.9% of the time

Hi mate, give me a yell if you want to see one in the flesh all done. Looks like it should be there. Pretty good bit of kit.

You might be interested in something like this.
No idea if such a thing is available in Australia or how much shipping would be.
Came across it when I was searching for other bits and pieces.

May I be the first to congratulate you on your useless, budget website which looks like it was created at free webs.com. Your 2 page pdf product list is particularly useless and hey you even managed to squeeze in some tacky "Work from Home" and flashing "You are a lucky winner" adds usually found on porn sites! Well done. You've got my interest!!!

That particular "cover" has had pretty bad feedback on USA forums. It's pretty much just a flat black piece of metal which is mostly flat, and then curves down at the front. You then need to put the centre "FSI" piece on by removing it from your current engine cover.

                There's the Neuspeed engine cover

Other people have purchased the Audi TT-S engine cover, painted it up, replaced 3 balljoints (mount points), and ended up with something like this:

Wow those neuspeed covers are nice but pretty pricey. Can't seem to find the tt-s covers though

Or u can get rid of that engine cover all together and fit a neuspeed intake and let your turbo breathe

Grommets are all well and good, but mine had a massive crack in the underside where the rear passenger mount was missing. Completely. The one I bought off here to replace it had the front passenger side one broken off, but I was able to repair the bracket up out of aluminium - alignment is out by about 5mm though, so need to keep an eye onit as per Jmac's post. Very interested in seeing what the one Jimmy offers is - has anyone got a pic??

Yeah - I think that's what I'm going to do with my R.
Jmac in post #3 you said "give me a yell if you want to see one in the flesh all done". Does that car have an engine cover on it as well? Can you post a picture?

Rome wasnt built in a day buddy!!!
You find how many online VW/Audi sites there are in Australia that have over 1000 product lines in stock and can be delivered same day and get back to me. Its no wonder so many people buy from overseas, in time everything will be done more professionaly but at the moment Im struggling to keep up with all the new inventory additions and finding out what parts are most popular here in Australia!!!

And Rome wouldn't be standing today if they didn't build it on a solid foundation.

To do it properly and host your website in Australia using a decent ecommerce platform would cost you a tiny amount and cater for growth of your business without having to change URL's and email addresses. As it stands now you have a free email web account, a website hosted on a sluggish slow free host and it's really offputting and unprofessional to say the least.
