It was an interesting segment as it said nothing about the car. I got the impression that this was another VW beatup by our motoring journalists (I drive the 2007 V6 4Motion Passat and am still upset that the Commodore beat it in the Wheels car of the year award - and lets not go into how many recalls the 'billion-dollar baby' has had since).

If they were so curious about the GT's power output why did they not also check it against a GTI?
