  • MK5 Jetta 118TSI suspension upgrade

So looking at getting some springs to make it handle a little better. What are my options? Is there standard springs i can use? Also has anyone using a rear sway bar?

As a quick cheap way, perhaps try to find an original suspension kit from the MkV/VI GTI.

The GTI handles very well while being very compliant.

Don't forget it's not your car.. lol

fronts off a GTI would probably be OK but the rear springs might be a bit under-spec as the Jetta has a heavier rear end. You might end up with the car looking like you've got 5 bags of concrete in the boot - permanently. Not a show-stopper as you could get them reset.

What tyres does your car have? I've always found the best handling improver is top of the range tyres.
