Ive got a Mkv GTI 06 model which is not garaged most days and sits in the sun at work. Ive noticed the head lights are looking slightly yellow or misty. Anyone else noticed this? Any easy fix without having to buy new headlights?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Much cheaper than new headlights.
The other alternative is getting a professional detailer to do it.Last edited by team_v; 24-02-2011, 12:28 PM.

you can get a marine product called plexus for clear plastic protection and cleaning, apparently also used on aircraft plastic windows. which was a must for cleaning the clear plastic window on my last car, also meguiars do a couple of plastic polishes which fix this sort of thing will cost you $40 to buy all three products and will last years.sigpic2008 Candy white GTI DSG - 1990 mx-5 loud, rough, uncomfortable but still an amazing car
