Warranty Repair

My MkV R32 tailgate rubs slightly where it meets the bumper on closure resulting in a small rub mark on top surface of the bumper and along thin strip edge of the tailgate where it meets the bumber on closure (hope this makes sense).

Anyway the marks are minor (probably wont show up in a photo but I will try and get some shots later) but the dealer has offerred to repair under warranty although this will require a touch up to the tailgate and repaint of the rear bumber. This seems quite extreme given the marks.

I am leaning toward not proceeding as I dont like the idea of the bumber being removed and repainted (car will then be "repaired"), any opinions out there? would you bother?

i would get it fixed. it would annoy the **** out of me that i know its not right.
better for them to remove and repaint the whole bumper than do a patch job on the affected area - IMO.

I didnt think there was any repair registry in australia, but ill be happy if there is so i can check out a car im looking at.
