Whats your most favourite aesthetic accessory you have bought for your MkV?

What's with all the people not liking reps? I've got replica's on mine and I haven't come across a single person that can pick them from genuine. I see no point in paying 4 times the price for genuine unless you're seriously into track racing and craving the 1/1000th of second that the lighter genuine's might offer.
I'm amazed at the number of people that complement me on mine only to do a complete 180 once I tell them they're replica's. God forbid I tell them I bought them from Tempe Tyres!!!!

Ive heard good and bad stories about reps, so it boils down to whether you were clever enough to score a good set.

Bad stories include very heavy weight, non-OEM centre bores, with plastic compensating rings (which get crushed), and clear coats of lacquer which peel off very early on

I recommend 18" BBS CH rims in Silver. They look like they were made specifically for the MkV GTI.

The GTI Edition 30 came stock with BBS CH's or what they called Pescara as they didn't have the MOTORSPORT embezzlement which I prefer anyway



There's a thread on JDMST about reals vs replicas and once you take them on the track you'll see a whole world of difference as hairline fractures occur
