  • Instrument cluster care.

It appears that the instrument cluster has either soft plastic or a anti-reflective coating on it, as it is prone to scratching at the lightest wipe with any cloth.

Anyone know what it is, and more importantly, how to care for it o it is not scratched.

    I am thinking static cloth?

Don't know what it is made of. My suggestion to clean it is a "Grab-It" duster. Available from the supermarket.

      Hi there mikinoz..
i use a product called "iklear" apple polish... it's an LCD screen cleaner from Apple...Comes with a non scratch cloth...(avalable at Mac retailers).
But you can use anything without amonia in it... Maguires glass clean etc will do..

This is quite amusing. Thanks for the tip mario!

FWIW - Windex now comes ammonia free and works 'as well' as iKlear! But iKlear is awesome!

Want any more mac stuff mario, let me know!

Just dont try to vacuum the dust off, like i did in my last car, leaving a dirty big swirly scratch right across the whole instrument cluster. D'oh
