Go with number 3. Its a fairly good price. You don't always get the best deal if you pay the lowest price. If the guys you are dealing with are good/trust worthy, then paying for good service is a good compromise.

I'd be interested to know some of the finer details on that. My understanding is that in late October/early November 200 3dr GTIs were delivered to Australia. No further 3drs arrived until around April, all would have been built in January 07 I would have thought. I guess some of the cars in the initial 200 could have sat around for a while before being released/complianced???

Oh, I'd go for #3 as well. But I'm biased on which colour looks best.

Thanks for all your feedback/advice...I'm getting the Candy White 3-Door/DSG...can't wait.

Now I just have to familiarise myself with any little GTI 'querks', if any...I've read about the parcel tray rope clunking, the rear left tailight, the early models had drama with fuel line disconnecting???...see Wheels magazine...and the low tyre pressure light that won't go off (re-settable by holding the trip down for 10 secs???) Also remember something about the cruise control stalk having an issue...is that all cool now?

The little imp will be here in a few weeks...they deliver to home with full tank of juice etc...

Is there any reccommended run-in km's or 1000km service/oil change???

          Thanks everyone.

Now I just have to wait and see if my golf clubs fit in my golf cart

Hey Chico, I have never heard the shelf straps in my golf. I did have the cruise switch replaced though.
First service is either 7,500 kms or 15,000 kms depending on the mood of the pre delivery mechanic. I would reccomend 7,500 myself.
Good luck with it mate, look forward to hearing your impressions of your great car when it arrives!
