Hi all! Just a quick intro then into the question
I purchased a 2005 Jetta TDI 2.0 DSG with 77kms mid last year in Queensland from a dealer. Managed to get down to $18990. Absolutely loving it! I traded from a Forester GT so I’m loving the performance plus the awesome fuel economy I’m getting
I’m originally from Brisbane and in Nov, I drove down to Sydney for the Christmas holidays (GF lives there). I managed to arrive in Syd with over qtr tank left! (I reached newcastle at half). I couldn’t believe it! I usually need to stop 2 times I managed to get a six month contract for work so now I’m here for a while! And the gf is happy!
The only hiccup I had was the alternator. Bearings shat itself after having it for less than a month, cogs/belt snapped off . Was not happy. Went back to the dealer (under stat warranty). They replaced it all and I had them pay for my towing. So I was pleased that the system worked in my favour.
Anyway I’m up for a lube service and I’m looking for a trusty mechanic in the Chatswood or north syd area or even Northshore. I’m avoiding the stealers. So far in my search is Pacific Motors Pymble, Euro Autotech Mona Vale, Killara Garage and Wardsport was recommended by a colleague, yet to get any quotes. They're a little far for my work load at the mo.
I have it booked at Midas Chatswood for next week as its only mins walk from work and a lube is $139 plus premium comes to $160. I've found two good reports so far. But I thought I’d ask here for some direction. Thanks!!
