  • Activating DRLs on 2010 Jetta

In the manual, it states that if you pull the high beam stalk towards you and activate the left/right indicator followed by turning the key to the "on" position, it should activate/deactivate the DRLs. Now I've tried this many times and in many combinations (as some USA forums say that the car needs to be in first with the park brake released). Has anyone had any luck with successfully activating them?

I don't think I've ever seen a Jetta/mk5 golf with DRLs in Australia. Just because the manual says you can do something doesn't actually mean you can. I'm sure the manual in Canada says the exact same thing as the Australian model (except bilingual) despite the fact that DRLs are law in Canada and can not be turned off.
