  • clicking noise coming from steering wheel/egnition

I have a clicking noise coming from the steering wheel or egnition area. it comes and goes. mainly happens at start up when taking off and comes on and off every now and then. don't need to be turning wheel for clicking to happen. car is an 07 my08 r32 dsg.
    anyone had similar problem

if it's a faint ticking, it could be related to the climate control self-adjusting.

No its definitely not that and it is isolated to the fuse/relay box area

Could be the ignition switch. I used to leave the key in my old Mk5 over night and it would go nuts... Sometimes turning the radio on, sometimes the lights. And sometimes when I would turn it off, it would make a faint clicking/chattering noise along with randomly unlocking and locking the doors.

Find someone with a VCDS and run it for faults.
