  • Currently sitting on side of road, waiting for you're truck...

So, one day before my car's sure to go to VW to have the coil pack/packs checked and it would seem it has died. Seriously, it's lasted 5 years, and one day short it packs it in. no pun intended. Is it because I put reindeer antlers and a red noise on you car? I promise, it looked good on you. Anyway, enough roadside rambling. What else was I meant to do while sitting here waiting. It's hot as in here with no air con but there are a million mozzied outsid. I'm trapped and you all must suffer by boredom and possible heat stroke.

Bad luck, I better change mine also.

How do you know it's the coilpacks?

I don't know 100% but cylinder one isn't firing and the spark plugs and injectors are quite new.

It was the coil packs. Get them checked people!

I can't believe the timing of the failure...

It's an '05. One of the very first ones. Can't tell you the engine type until I check. I'm sure someone else could answer that pretty easily...

I didn't get a notice, just heard about it through word of mouth. Rang up the VW dealer, gave them the VIN and they said to bring it in.

I hadn't planned on bringing it in on a tow truck.
