Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Unknown R32 interior instrument/feature

    Hey guys,

I bought myself a 2006 R32 DSG on Thursday (30/12)... loving the car thus far.

I've noticed a small instrument in the car passenger side between the front and rear passenger.

Images attached below... does anyone know what it is?

Press that when you are leaving someone in the car, or the windows down and it will turn off the motion detect inside the car until you unlock it again.

I don't believe that's the actual button. That's the actual motion sensor. The button(s) are location near the driver door directly below the seat belt outlet.
