        Glad it worked Kev,
from one order of the parts (totalling under $500) we have managed to fix the lumbar support on 3 cars. Something VW quoted me $1600 to fix mine. I'd say that is a win!

          Hi 99_FGT,

          I PMed you today.

My driver's seat makes clicky noise and doesn't move in all directions.

Is 1k0-881-879a part all I need, or do I need to order anything else for the repair?

Motor makes noise, but doesn't move as well as the passenger's seat.

How often do people really adjust the lumbar? Maybe I'm ignorant but I always have viewed lumbar as a set and forget feature. I certainly wouldn't spend 1k fixing it if it it broke, infact I had the leather seats in my gti retrofitted (out of another gti which was wrote off) because my car had the tartan from the factory it meant I didn't have the wiring for the electric lumbar or heated seats and I have not bothered getting the car wired up as I haven't missed either feature, nor has any one else who drives my car.

I have a stuffed back which means that mine gets adjusted 2-3 times a week, and the heated seats also get a fair workout in the morning too.
Set and forget is fine, but if it is not right wen it fails, then that doesn't help much.
My 38wk pregnant wife also loves it too (although in summer she doesn't use the heated seats)

This is a very long shot I know but does anybody happen to have 1 or 2 sets of the repair gears still that they'd sell?
