drivers side door red security LED stays on??

On the drivers side door there's the little red LED that blinks when the car is looked (immobilised).

When the car is unlocked this light stops blinking.

A couple of times now when I've unlocked the car, the little red LED stays on permanently and doesn't turn off. If I lock and re-lock the car, it fixes itself.

I'm not sure if it's just a little 'glitch' that happens every now and then, or if it's an indication that something is wrong.

Any ideas??
