  • Interesting use of various VW golf badges

Been lurking on here for a while, Found this on car sales while shopping around. Listed as a 2007 GTI, the more i look the more confused I am.

Needs more badges on the back.
Could be a relative of Petrina.

Also i spot front fenders that could have badges or stickers on them.

He could have done with a Golf number plate as well.

seems to be a real GTI with stupid stickers and badges. Providing the info given there is real (2.0 Unleaded intercooled turbo).. unless he converted that aswell :/

Doubtful - specs say it has tow away alarm & 6 stacker - both GTI specific and not GT items. Also the OETTINGER 196Kw chip upgrade's not something available on a GT (but I wish...) Plus it would have cost a small fortune in spares to spec it like a GTI - rear spoiler, skirts, wheels, grilles &c.. All possible I admit, but unlikely. Without a shot of the interior or under the bonnet, I guess we can't be 100% sure.

But jeez, it's clean as a whistle underneath, innit?

I'm with team_v - it could use a few more badges - that tailgate's crying out for more...

No GT is going to see low 6's to 100kph. Also, does the 1.4 GT have a "diverter valve" ? I didn't think so....

There's a red GTI near me with a TDI badge on the back of it as well. Even tractors have wannabe's!

Aside from the crazy 0-100 claim and the stupid badges, it looks weirdly clean underneath.....

Not sure if it's just the angle of the picture taken, but the rear spoiler looks really short, like the stock ones you see on the regular Golfs

he has put a badge representing what engine he has - the TURBO off a BA falcon must have fallen off

I was wondering the same thing. Looks like the owner was trying to have it resemble a dodgem car!

No - it is the proper GTI one - the LED cluster hangs down like on the GTI ones.
