Tracking new MKV order

Can someone help me work out what this really means, using logistics tracking I get this data:

DELIVERED FROM:BRISBANE 27/06
DISCHARGED:BRISBANE 23/06
LOADED ON VESSELORT ELIZABETH 31/05
RECEIVED AT TERMINALORT ELIZABETH 30/05
BOOKED:BREMEN 22/05

DELIVERED FROM:BRISBANE 27/06 -- delivered from Customs, the car is now in VWs control, most likely went to a holding yard before being delivered to your stealer
DISCHARGED:BRISBANE 23/06 -- boat arrived, car unloaded into Customs
LOADED ON VESSELORT ELIZABETH 31/05 -- self explanatory
RECEIVED AT TERMINALORT ELIZABETH 30/05 -- self explanatory
BOOKED:BREMEN 22/05 -- most likely the day your car was built


Can't be long to go now until you get your car. Around 2-3 weeks from the "discharged" date is par for the course. Anything under 2 weeks is excellent, and in fact I've only ever heard of it happening once. That was in Melbourne with a MINI.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones, mine was discharged on the 21st May in Melbourne, and managed to pick it up 1st June in Sydney!

I would call your dealer and let them know that you are waiting for the car - but trust me its all worth the wait when you rock up on a bike and drive off in your brand new car

My VW was delivered and discharged on the same dates as yours. Would love to say i have mine.......but.....dealer said he still hasn't received car from out of Brisbane. Sounds like they have a full workload at VW installing compliance plates etc.

I think my dealer is waiting for 5 cars to clear.

Was originally told by dealer a 2 week delay from port to delivery......now just hope it'll be delivered by end of next week. Ordered January 2007.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the car to come out too. Dealer says it shouldn't be too long, but will miss the stated delivery date.

No-one actually takes responsibility for the car, dealer nor Volkswagen themselves, apparently it's "out of their hands". Gotta love that.

So I take it from Port Elizabeth written above you are getting either a normal (1.6/2.0FSI/1.9 TDI/2.0 TDI) Golf or a GTI 5dr.

Seems to be Melbourne is the consistent theme here.

Dealer rang late Friday to say car is onsite going through PDI and will be delivered to me Tuesday.

Hope you can expect yours to be around the same time.

This information for those that are unaware can be obtained from your VIN once your dealer has allocated it to you.

Use your VIN on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics website (who ship cars from South Africa) - Link here.

Once it is in Australia, you will find generally they are moved around by TNT.
