Continental procontact tyres 235/45/R17 $100

I see these on Ebay seem very cheap ive got 225/45/R17 on my Golf V GT sports, I'm not worried about the 10 mil wider as its only 5 mil per side and you only gain 1.4 on the spedo?
And only $10 postage per tyre .

I would make sure they are load rated and speed rated equivalent or above what you currently run or you could be using illegal tyres.

Also see if you can find out when/where they were manufactured.
I believe some of the tyre markings provide this information.

They were H 210kph no good for the golf

I can vouch for the fact that a stock diesel GT will eclipse that... and that's true roadspeed, not speedo indicated!

To say I was pleasantly suprised by that fact doesn't really cover it.

yes i know that you need at least 91V or better=240kph
