Hope this is not a stupid question...but i can't seem to locate the battery in the manual or visibly in the engine bay?
All i can find is the +ve anchor point...

In the boot and underneath everything, you have to remove all the fittings for the tools, etc and then its located under a plate, you will see the wiring for it though.2007 MY08 VW Golf MKV R32 Blue 6M 3-Door

I thought that too - I opened the boot and there was more storage compartment.
I started trying to lift carpet panels when a security guard asked me to stop...
I'm sure it was in there somewhere!
